Once your have figured this out you will be able to see visually which cells are being triggered by what notes you are playing form your keyboard. If the input monitor is set to IN you do not need to 'ARM' the track to play it from the keyboard, HOWEVER if you want to play/launch a midi clip that has midi notes in the piano roll, it needs to be set to AUTO. If the input monitor is set to AUTO, you need to 'ARM' the track for the drumRack to receive midi. So choose your keyboard from that menu on the midi track you dragged a drumRack too. Now you can set your input menu to receive midi from your keyboard on a midi track. In Live's midi preferences find your keyboard, tick Track and Remote on the input section. However I suggest starting with one of Live's built in presets, by dragging one of them from the drumRack folder in the browser, to a midi track in Live. There's lots of drumRack threads on here that will help big time.
